Nexa Technologies has achieved outstanding reliability (99.7% uptime since our initial product launch in November 2000) by producing superior code with our team of experienced developers, by designing our systems to handle the unforeseeable outages that can occur with third party execution venues and market data providers, and by rigorously testing all of our code in an environment that mirrors our production systems. When Nexa upgrades its systems, or brings new systems on line, our strict standards in all of these areas are combined with state of the art equipment from Cisco, Foundry Networks, and Dell to produce a world class implementation that our customers can depend on.
Similarly, Nexa has devoted significant resources at all levels to the issue of client data security. We encrypt all client data to and from each of our products. Simple quote data is not encrypted within our Level II product because of the increase in overhead to encrypt and decrypt the large volume of Level II data. However all order and account related data is encrypted to and from our Level II client, and all traffic to both our Back Office and our browser-based Level I client are fully 128-bit encrypted. At the network level, Nexa employs very strict firewall rulesets to block all non-proprietary traffic from reaching our client servers, and our multi-tier network architecture further ensures that none of our market data, execution, or database servers is accessible to the outside world.
